Morgan Jaecks
As a proud community member of the Gila River Indian Community, I have dedicated the past 10 years to serving and protecting our people through my work with the Gila River Police Department. Throughout my career, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges that violence, trauma, and limited opportunities create for Indigenous communities. These experiences inspired me to establish Indigenous Horizons with a simple but powerful mission: to help break the cycle of violence by empowering youth, strengthening families, and creating opportunities that foster hope, resilience, and lasting positive change for future generations.

Joshua Garcia
Joshua has served as a paraprofessional at Casa Blanca Community School on the Gila River Indian Community for the past four years, where he is dedicated to supporting students and helping them reach their full potential. A lifelong volunteer, Joshua has contributed his time and leadership to numerous community organizations and has proudly served as a volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts of America since 2014. Outside of the classroom, he has been an avid tabletop gaming enthusiast for more than eight years, enjoying games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. As a Game Master for the past two years, Joshua uses storytelling, teamwork, and creative problem-solving to create engaging experiences that foster confidence, collaboration, and meaningful connections among youth.

Michaella is an elementary paraprofessional with a passion for inspiring creativity, learning, and personal growth in young people. Whether she's crocheting, designing Dungeons & Dragons characters, or building imaginative stories, she believes creative expression is a powerful tool for building confidence, connection, and resilience. Michaella enjoys helping children discover their unique interests and strengths, fostering an environment where they feel seen, valued, and encouraged to dream. She believes that storytelling, play, and creating something with your own hands can provide young people with a sense of purpose, belonging, and hope while empowering them to make positive choices for their future.
